These very special ‘flat pack’ eggs are made with Grenada Chocolate Company 71% chocolate that matured gently as it was sailed across the Atlantic. Comes with a bag of the rare 70% Tierra Hermosa Cárdenas Ecuador chocolate buttons available only to one or two other chocolate makers in the UK.

Description

This 100g, 71% cocoa Grenada Chocolate Company dark ‘sailboat’ chocolate egg comes with a 70g bag of 70% Cárdenas chocolate buttons from the Manabi region of Ecuador. It is hard to believe that two chocolates with similar cocoa content can taste so different! The Grenada has robust, fruity, chocolate brownie flavours, while the Cárdenas is super elegant, very mellow with notes of grassy coconut, a classic example of Arriba Nacional heritage cocoa.

These eggs come in a box as shown “flat packed” in tissue paper. This was originally part of the design brief for a mail order box, and we liked the simplicity so decided to keep all the fully recyclable elements.

A must for the chocolate connoisseur in your life. Like all good dark chocolate, this is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
